As fteu we are dedicated to bringing our customers the best permeable metal product. We always put our customer first. Function in Permeable Metal is our commitment to products that work for the customer. We understand each product as the customer solution comprised of hardware, service and value chain.
As familiy owned and operated company in the second generation we foster a culture of service, quality and responsibility. We strive for these self-evident principles to be attributes of everything we are doing and all relationships we have and create.
Our organisation is designed to cater ot the individual requirements of each customer – with modular processes as infrastructure for efficient and fast operations. In addtion to the customer, focus, technology and perspectvive are our operations values that allow and expect every member of our team to contribute to creating Function in Permeable Metal.
With our headquarters in Heinsberg, Germany, and additional locations in Baoding, P.R. China, and Šumperk, Czech Republic we supply permeable metal products to customers on all continents. Our operations cover all activites required for developing, selling and production our products. We are ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 certified. Our production operations cover the manufacturing of specific permeable metals and permeable metal specifications, manfucaturing of permeable metal parts and components as well as assembly of more complex permeable metal products.
As a workplace we provide an environment that puts everyone in a position to excel in their field of expertise. Timeline of Roots & Development
Origins
Stocking weaving in textile region
Located in Heinsberg, in Germany’s then textile industry centre the Lower Rhine region, our company was founded a stocking weaving mill.
1980s
Wire mesh weaving and 2D filters
The expertise from textile processing is used for the weaving of metallic wires. We focus on wire weaving and the manufacture of two-dimensional filters produced using punching technology.
1990s
Production of complex metal filters
The processing of metal mesh into filter elements is playing an increasingly important role. We manufacture complex three-dimensional filter elements for the efficient filtration of our customers.
2000s
Filter partner with global value chain
The company receives its current name filtertechnik.Europe after Dr. Christian Komorek takes over the company. The founding of Baoding Filter Equipments in PR China and filtertechnik.Europe CZ in the Czech Republic creates a global partner for metal mesh filter technology.
2010s
OEM projects & precision spare parts
Our now global networks allows us to provide our metal mesh spare parts more efficiently, while we are expanding our operations as development and production partner for OEMs for automotive systems and industrial machinery.
